About Karen
Berkshire based professional equine and pet photographer Karen Bennett, a former amateur jockey has swapped the saddle for a camera. Karen has been making her name in the Equine and Pet photography world and has won awards for her breath-taking images, each one capturing the essence and character of her subjects.
Recently her love, passion and true connection with horses has led her to create a stunning portfolio of “Equine Envy” fine art photographs. Her hard work and dedication have resulted in each one telling its own individual story allowing for communication to build between the image and the viewer.
Most of Karen’s fine art work is created from roaming horses and ponies in their natural surroundings. Karen will wait tirelessly, in all kinds of weather to capture an arresting image that will form a connection with the viewer. Karen’s latest work contains powerful and spirited images of truly magnificent Pre-Andalusian stallions.
Karen takes on a limited amount of private commissions throughout the year to photograph owner’s horses and dogs. Other pets or animals can be included. These commissions are tailored to each individual pets and owner’s requirements. We work as a team to gain the very best results that’s possible.

Bugsy who is a 13 year old Springador takes centre stage in the Bennett household. So Karen fully understand how your much-loved pets are the heart of your homes, unlocking joy in the lives of every family member.
Telling stories through photographs
Karen thinks it’s sad when people don’t have time to enjoy their photographs, archived in computer files or fading memory banks. So she will encourage you to tell her what you most love doing with your pets and families. Then photograph the story of a day in your lives, at home or somewhere you love to visit. Karen will tease out the unique personality of each pet, child and family member, relaxed and at ease in each other’s company. Karen especially loves to create photobooks, integrating your treasured photographs with hers to celebrate a personal moment in time you can always cherish.
Infinitely patient
Karen has spent a lifetime around animals, studying their qualities, mindfully watching their antics and getting them to trust her behind the camera. Pet and equine photography is not just a job or diversion for Karen. It’s a real labour of love

What Next?
DOG PHOTOGRAPHY
Karen offers dog photography sessions in her own studio beside her home in Berkshire. Karen also offers On Location sessions for those that prefer to have natural countryside. Pet owners, children or all the family members can be included within the shoot. Karen will work through your requirements and make plans ahead of the shoot. All shoots are worked around the pets requirements to be sure they are happy and comfortable at all times.
EQUINE PHOTOGRAPHY
Karen aims to capture special moments of you and your horse, if you prefer to have your horse photographed on it’s own that’s absolutely fine. Karen will visit your yard or preferred location, woods, beach etc and find the best places and backdrops to create stunning images. We work together as a team making the shoot relaxed and enjoyable and of course fun. If you would like to include other humans, dogs, cats, chickens etc that’s even better!
PURCHASE FINE ART PRINTS
Karen has created a collection of limited edition and open edition framed fine art prints. You will find images that are taken within the New Forest and other places where horses and ponies roam free. Karen also has a collection of magnificent Pre Andalusian Stallions. Each piece is printed on fine art paper which is chosen to compliment the image then placed in a beautiful frame to enhance the overall look, they are personally signed at the time of printing.
