VALARIE JEROME OPTOMETRISTS

 

I met Valarie when she came to my studio to photograph her little princess Ava which is almost five years ago, how time flies!

I bumped into Valarie during an eye appointment in Newbury when she mentioned that she would like to get her dogs photographed for James her husband  as he had a birthday looming. He had said to Valarie that it would be an impossible task to photograph their dogs Lizzie and Charlie together. Well I do believe we proved him wrong 😉

Valarie launched her business VALARIE JEROME OPTOMETRISTS in November 2019 which involved a huge amount of work and effort whilst also being a wife and mother and she still managed to find the time to come to my studio to have a few headshots in preparation of her website and marketing etc.

I watched the building and interior design work of Valarie’s practice taking place on social media. She worked tirelessly to get things right, her enthusiasm and attention to detail has certainly paid off.  Valarie was and still is very keen to involve and work with small local businesses in and around Newbury.

I believe it is a good thing for small local businesses to support and help each other. On the launch of her practice I was one of the first on the list to book my consultation. Her expertise has helped me to find the right contact lenses which up until then had been a bit of a disaster and I had almost given up hope. Valarie took her time with me during the consultation, we chatted about how to find the best way forward for me whilst using my camera. I need to see in the distance but also have the ability to see the images on the back of my camera without having to find my glasses. I am now a proud owner of contact lenses that work for me! The whole experience was like a breath of fresh air, nothing is too much trouble. It’s wonderful to walk into her shop and be greeted with a smile ready to go straight into the consultation room with no waiting. I always look forward to my next appointments as I enjoy the relaxed and friendly atmosphere.

Valarie has been providing her customers with a high level of service during the lockdown. She personally delivered my contact lenses to my home, it was lovely to have a chat with her through the glass door!

The shop is very tastefully laid out and there are many beautiful frames to choose from.
